Manop Nagadatta

Mr. Nagadatta received his LL.B. (Honors) in 1973, ranking 1st in his graduating class at Thammasat University (Bangkok). He became a Barrister-at-Law in 1974 and received his LL.M. from Tulane University, New Orleans in 1975. Mr. Nagadatta’s prominence in Bangkok’s business and legal communities has been cultivated over the year through his professional work, his academic lectures and publications, and his active community involvement.
Before establishing the firm in 1992, Mr. Nagadatta acted as Legal Counsel and Company Secretary to one of Thailand’s largest consortiums, the Ocean Group, where he also held various positions including Director and President of Asoke International Trading Co., Ltd. (1980-1990), Managing Director of Ocean Finance and Securities Co., Ltd. (1983-1984), and Chairman and President of Siam Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (1988-1990).
Throughout his 30-year career as a corporate lawyer, Mr. Nagadatta has exercised a keen understanding and reputable approach toward IP rights in Thailand, while working with the Thai authorities on behalf of our clients. Moreover, Mr. Nagadatta’s experience in Thailand’s business, legal, and government circles provides the firm with access to extensive interpersonal networks which are an indispensable resource in the Southeast Asia region.

Takao Koshikawa

Mr. Koshikawa graduated from Shizuoka University (Japan) where he received a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering in 1972. He was registered as a patent attorney in Japan in 1987, and established KOSHIKAWA & Co. in 1991, an intellectual property law specializing in IP matters in Japan. For over 20 years, he has hundreds of mechanical, electrical and other patent and trademark cases as an IP professional.
Before establishing the firm, he worked as an engineer and assistant manager in the patent department at one of Japan’s prominent companies, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (1974-1987) and then at Sanshin Industries Co., Ltd. (1988-1990).
His memberships include: Second Committee, International Committee, Japan Intellectual Property Association (1988-1990), JPAA (1987), International Activity Committee of JPAA (1994-1998), Patent Committee of JPAA (1999-2000), Overseas Cooperation committee of JPAA (2002-2003), Asia Affairs Group, JPAA Intl. Activities Center (2004-2006) , APAA (2006-2007) , APPA Intl. Activities Center (2007-2008) , and JPAA International Activities Center (2009-Present).
He has been a speaker at various seminars including: Japanese Patent Law & Trademark law, Daruny Patent Education center in Japan (1988-1991), 2007 JPAA IP Practitioners Seminar in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and 2009 JPAA IP Practitioners Seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Hideki Tanaka

Mr. Tanaka received his LL.B. from Keio University in 1980. After five years at a Japanese trading company, he joined Seiwa Patent & law Office (1985-1990), acting as assistant manager of the General Affairs Department. In 1991, he became an intellectual property attorney registered in Japan while working as the manager of the Trademark & Design Department at Yamasaki Law & Patent Office (1990-1994).
He established his intellectual property law firm (currently know as “IBUKI IP –LAW Partners”) Yokohama, Japan in 1994. Also, he co-established N&K IP Limited in Thailand in 2012.
Throughout his lengthy career as a Japanese intellectual property attorney, Mr. Tanaka has focused his specialized practice on trademarks, service marks, designs, and unfair competition prevention matters, including intellectual property litigation cases.

Sivanas Nagadatta

Mr. Sivanas Nagadatta received his LL.B. from Thammasat University in 2001, an LL.M. from the University of Sheffield, England in 2002 and his second LL.M. from Tulane University, New Orleans in 2003. His course-work included EU Law. Intellectual Property Law, and Entertainment Law.
After completing his international studies, Mr. Nagadatta gained valuable experience working with two well-reputed U.S. entertainment companies. First, he worked at Intellectual Property Worldwide (IPWW) in Los Angeles. IPWW is a lawyers-owned company that represents more than 200 entertainment properties and produces movies through its own production department. Following this, Mr. Nagadatta joined the legal team at ESI Network, a leading talent management company in Los Angeles.
After years of international studies and private corporate experience, Mr. Nagadatta joined Nagadatta & Doyle in 2004 and focuses his efforts on intellectual property law.
